Help From Uncle Evan

My newest layout for our wedding scrapbook album.  There is unfortunately a "typo" in the journaling (pointed out by Uncle Evan himself when I showed this to him) that I will have to fix somehow.  I'm really happy how this one turned out.

This is of course using my ever-favorite Basic Grey (Green At Heart).  I'm working on branching out and adding some variety to my scrapbooking. I need to work on contrasts, particularly when it comes to textures.  If only there were more time in my day.  I'm finding more and more amazing blogs out there that are hugely inspiring to me.  Today's favorite (found while attempting to do some work facebook posts) is This Little Art of Mine.  Not only are her layouts incredibly clean and unique the photography of her projects is fantastic as well. All things I aspire to have the time to concentrate on one day, when I quit my boring day job.  Time to start playing the lottery...

Cutie Patooties

All of our friends daughters LOVE my husband.  When Scott walks in a room they all light up and go running towards him.  I snapped this picture over the weekend of my friends daughters, Milo & Stella, looking through our balcony fence because they see Scott walking up.

Irregular Choice-It's That Time Again

I suppose a post about my obsession with Irregular Choice shoes will become a seasonal thing.  The new fall line is a-may-zing.  Irregular Choice shoes are not just shoes, they are art.  Their designers ability to stray from the ordinary and still be incredibly aesthetically pleasing is admirable, enviable, incredible. I don't pretend to be a fashionista, I am not up-to date on the latest from top designers.  In fact I rarely pay attention.  I'd be lying if I said my clothes came from anywhere besides Urban Outfitters and Forever 21. But I make it a point to watch for the release of new Irregular Choice. My personal favorites:

Now I just need to come up with an extra $500 to spend on shoes.  And then when the box comes in the mail I have to hide it from my husband so he doesn't know I bought more shoes.  And then when I wear them and he asks about them I have to say, "Oh these?  I've had them forever, just haven't worn them in awhile."
